Edith, the ten year old daughter of Wm Weikel, died last Monday at 7 o’clock at the family residence west of Yountsville. Her sickness was heart disease. The funeral occurred at Yountsville at ten o’clock Wednesday. - thanks S for typing this for us :)

Mary Edith Weikel was born Sept. 14, 1888, and died March 7, 1898, aged 10 years, 5 months, 21 days. She passed away Tuesday morning very peacefully. It looks sad that one so young should be taken away just in the bloom of childhood and at a time when all of life’s beauty, sweetness and success was before her. She leaves a loving father, stepmother, two sisters, grandfather, grandmother, and a host of friends to mourn. The funeral was from the M. E. Church, Yountsville on Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. J. M. Williams. Interment was at Odd Fellows’ Cemetery, at Crawfordsville. - thanks to S for all her great typing
